Daran Nair - Director Daran Nair has been in public practice as a Chartered Accountant for over twenty years. He established Nair & Associates Chartered Accountants in 1995. Over the years, Daran has acquired extensive hands-on experience in all aspects of advising and assisting small and medium-sized businesses. Nair & Associates has grown into a reputable firm because of Daran’s sound business sense, innovative financial advice and his customer focused, proactively caring nature. Daran’s warm personality together with his expertise and creativity in many key areas such as specialist taxation advice, financial planning and insolvency has provided the firm with sound reputation and integrity as a small, honest practice which does not compromise on the quality and efficiency in the services it provides. Annie Chen – Director Annie graduated with an engineering degree from Shanghai University, China and has extensive experience in production management & project management with an American multinational based in China. Annie immigrated to New Zealand in 1995 and went on to achieve a double major in Accounting and Finance from the University of Auckland, with a Post Graduate Diploma from Massey University. She joined Nair & Associates in 1999, bringing on board her exceptional organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail. She has added her flair and dynamism to this already successful practice. Annie recently was made a partner of the firm and hence the change in the company name to Nair & Chen Chartered Accountants. Nicolette Rebello - Administrator Nicky immigrated to New Zealand in September 2000 from India, where she qualified as a Chartered Accountant. She began her working career here in Auckland with Nair & Associates Chartered Accountants in June 2001. As an Administrator, her role covers a wide variety of functions. It includes corresponding and interacting with clients, with particular attention to their provisional and terminal tax calculations and payment notices, annual income tax returns and GST returns. She also liaises with IRD with regard to assessment notices and correspondence, where necessary, and handles invoicing and collections, company incorporation, annual returns and trust gifting. Nicky has become an invaluable member of the team with her excellent communications skills especially when handling the IRD and clients. She enjoys spending time with her family and her hobbies include listening to music and reading. |

YuFeng Wu - Accountant Born in Qingdao, China, YuFeng immigrated to New Zealand in 2001. He pursued a double degree at Auckland University of Technology in 2004 and graduated in 2008 with Bachelor of Health Science and Bachelor of Business. YuFeng was recruited by Nair & Associates upon graduation and has mastered a variety of skills in a short period. He currently undertakes preparation of annual reports, income tax and GST returns of quite a few of the firm’s important clients. YuFeng is a provisional member of CA College of New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants and has recently completed the Foundation Program towards achieving his goal of becoming a fully qualified Chartered Accountant. |

Selene Zhu – Accountant Selene immigrated to New Zealand from Shanghai, China in 2002. She graduated from the University of Auckland with a Bachelor in Commerce majoring in Economics and Finance in 2007. She joined Nair & Associates as a volunteer upon graduation and was recruited as a full-time staff in 2008. A very hardworking member of the team, Selene currently undertakes a variety of tasks such as preparing annual reports, income tax returns and GST returns. Her interests when not at work are reading, listening to music and going to the movies. |

Kelvin Wu – Accountant Kelvin came to New Zealand in 2003 from Shanghai, China. He completed a 4-year accounting degree at Waikato Institute of Technology. He joined Nair & Associates in July 2009 and performs a variety of tasks such as preparation of annual reports, income tax returns and GST returns. He is currently a provisional member of CA College in New Zealand Institutes of Chartered Accountants and continues to study to become fully qualified Chartered Accountant. When not working, I love to travel. I enjoy music and most sports. During winter, my Saturdays are spent at indoor basketball courts. |

Erica Wang – Accountant Erica was born in Shanghai, China. After completing her studies in Actuarial Science and getting a Bachelors degree in Economics from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics in 2005, she three years in a local insurance company where she as was responsible for product development. In 2008, she pursued a postgraduate study at University of Melbourne and completed a Masters degree in Applied Commerce (Accounting) in December 2009. She moved to New Zealand in 2010 and joined Nair & Associates as a volunteer. She was recently recruited as a full-time member of the staff as she shows potential to excel at what she does. Erica enjoys spending time with her family, friends, listening to music and watching movies. When not at work, she can be found cheering at a live performance or at the cinema. |

John Wen John Wen was born in Shanghai, China. He came to New Zealand in 2004. He completed a three-year bachelor degree majoring in accounting and finance at the University of Auckland in 2008. In 2009, he pursued a masters degree in finance at the University of Melbourne and graduated in December 2010. |
